Welcome to Downtown

The lifeblood of our communities is the expansion and opening of new businesses in traditional neighborhood districts. Welcome to Downtown is a new recognition program developed by PDC to promote these businesses and the downtowns in which they are located. Recognized businesses will be any new businesses opening in your designated downtown district or any new existing business that has expanded or relocated to the district.

PDC will provide a recognition certificate and a press release to the submitting member organization, and, we will post the name, contact information, and any submitted photos of the new or expanded business on our website in the Welcome to Downtown section. Added bonuses to this program are:

• Additional publicity for the business and the member organization
• Creating a positive working relationship with business owners
• Recognition on a statewide level of downtown revitalization efforts
• Additional opportunity for a locally held special event
