What is the PDC?
The Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) is the only statewide nonprofit organization dedicated solely to the revitalization of the Commonwealth’s Core or traditional communities. We provide outreach, technical assistance and educational services primarily utilizing the National Main Street’s Four Point Approach to communities interested in the revitalization of their central business districts and surrounding residential neighborhoods. The PDC is also a strong advocate for downtown and neighborhood initiatives in the Commonwealth and is active in many strategic partnerships which promote revitalization and reinvestment in the Commonwealth’s “core communities.”
What PDC Does
Since 1987, PDC has provided affordable services and benefits to its members, tailored to their unique economic and social conditions. These communities include urban and rural communities of all sizes. PDC’s philosophy identifies ongoing professional management as a critical key to the success of revitalization.
